Sichuan-Chongqing Winter Solstice themed journey

In-depth small-group journey

Itinerary overview

Some parts of China only appear at the right time.

Winter in Sichuan is not just lively and spicy. It also has New Year paintings being printed, steam rising from the stove, ancient irrigation canals flowing through the fields, Tibetan tea slowly changed by time, and a good night's sleep by the mountain valley hot springs. Over nine days, we don't rush to see more places but walk into these ongoing lives, personally complete a work, a New Year meal, and create a new memory of the New Year.

You will first get to know Sichuan flavors in Chengdu, not surrounded by continuous heavy spicy banquets; in Mianzhu, work with real New Year painting artisans, letting a piece of paper gain color and blessings from woodblocks; follow the water of the Dujiangyan irrigation area into rural life, seeing how water becomes soil, food, and daily order; touch the changes of tea leaves in steaming, kneading, and pressing in Ya'an. The last two nights of the trip, we give time back to sleep, hot springs, valleys, and ourselves.
