In Quanzhou, listen to Nanyin, watch glove puppetry, stroll through West Street and Xunpu Village, hand-roll winter solstice rice balls, and make chicken mother dog figurines, kneading seasonal memories into your palms.
Then travel through Zhangzhou ancient city to Nanjing, understanding Tulou and villages between Hegui Lou, Huaiyuan Lou, and Yunshuiyao. Returning to Xiamen, wander Gulangyu, Shapowei, and coastal markets, adding a warm reunion with a winter solstice family feast to the five-day journey.

Daily Itinerary
After airport pickup in Xiamen, head to Quanzhou, stroll through the traditional Wudian Market district, see red brick ancient houses and Sino-Western architecture. Enter Xiangyun Guild Hall to enjoy Nanyin, glove puppetry, musical instrument or dance performances, and taste tea and Minnan tea snacks; then visit Jinjiang Sunshine Night Market for dinner featuring Shijinji ginger duck.

Use Quanzhou as the base for the first two days, exploring the ancient city, enjoying Nanyin, and experiencing handicrafts by day, resting at the hotel at night.
After visiting Hegui Lou, Huaiyuan Lou, and Yunshuiyao, stay overnight in Nanjing to rest comfortably before the next day's journey to Xiamen.
Spend the last night of the trip in Xiamen. Rest after wandering Gulangyu and Shapowei, then continue exploring the coast and markets the next day.
